The guest house Munk has put together the following adventure tour. Here you can read how you can spend 5 beautiful days in the countryside with us.
Day 1 Arrival Day
After you have got to know and moved into your spacious apartment, get your bikes ready to go and cycle to the historic old town. This only takes about 15 minutes. There is enough to discover to finish the day of arrival relaxed. In addition to numerous shops and restaurants, there are also many cozy cafés. More information can be found here.
Day 2 Discovery of the Danube
The famous Danube Cycle Trail leads directly past your accommodation. On the second day you can explore exactly this one. After a small ascent, you will reach approx. 800 meters the Danube Moss with the longest river in Europe – the Danube. Here you cycle downstream directly along the Danube. It is a unique birdlife and the largest largely untouched floodplain in Europe. A real highlight for nature enthused. The villages of Offingen, Gundelfingen Lauingen, Dillingen, Höchstädt and Donauwörth are located directly on the river. Each of these places has a railway station from which you can return to Günzburg by bicycle train Agilis. Timetables can be viewed here or with the Deutsche Bahn APP. From Gün
zburg station, you can cycle approx. 2 km back to the property. You can end the evening comfortably on your balcony or terrace.
Day 3 Herrenwald Hiking Tour
From the guest house Munk you always walk straight up a small mountain until you have reached the Herrenwald with its typical deciduous trees of the auland forest. Oaks, beech, ash, poplars and much more, the forest offers. The hiking tour takes you along the sand slopes, past old mound graves, through magnificent rapefields and a hollow path. It is about 3.1 miles from the village of Offingen. You can hike either over the Danube or again over the forests back to Reisensburg via various other dirt roads. Enjoy the beautiful landscape idyll with a view over many small valleys and hi
lls. In the evening, it is a good time to head back towards Günzburg’s old town to have dinner in one of the numerous restaurants.
Day 4 Bicycle tour to the Swabian Ulm
After driving down the Danube on day 2, you can drive the Danube west on day 4. This tour takes you to the Swabian town of Ulm, which is about 17.4 miles from the property. Day 5 Departure
On the last day of your trip, all that is left is the departure. In the morning you have enough time to load your bikes and pack your suitcases. Afterwards you can look back on four beautiful days in the green.
